(TORRINGTON, Wyo.) — An arrest has been made in the pedestrian hit and run investigation that sent one person to the hospital with serious injuries.

On February 9, 2025, at approximately 2:50 pm, Torrington Police Department and Torrington EMS responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle near Main Street and Curtis Avenue in Torrington. The vehicle was reported to have left the scene after the collision.
When Officers arrived at the scene, they located the victim, who was transported by ambulance with serious injuries. Thankfully, the victim’s family reports that the injuries are not life-threatening and the victim is recovering as well as can be expected, given the circumstances.
Officers initiated an investigation into the collision. The suspect driver was located, and eventually taken into custody on multiple charges. These charges are based on probable cause that was developed during the investigation, and the suspect in this case is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Several individuals witnessed this collision, provided aid to the victim at the scene, and spoke with officers about what occurred. The responding officers believe that there may be additional witnesses who have valuable information about what occurred, that they did not have the opportunity to interview.
