(SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb.) — One of East Scottsbluff’s favorite local establishments jokingly claimed their food was ‘fire’ after a small blaze broke out, causing firefighters to show up at their restaurant.

Incase you haven’t heard Rosita’s food is “fire”
A huge thank you to Scottsbluff Fire Department for coming and putting out our cleaning rag crisis we had this afternoon! We appreciate you guys!
From Scottsbluff Fire Department
Today, at 13:30 hours Scottsbluff Fire received a direct call from a staff member at Rosita’s regarding an odor of smoke in the building. Upon arrival crews found a bag of cleaning towels in a garbage bag smoldering in a storage closet. While this situation could of been a lot worse, the attentiveness of the staff prevented any fire extension or damage to the building or other contents.
Through the investigation process it was determined the towels were washed off site earlier in the day and washed with bleach and once dried the towels were placed in the trash bag and taken back to the Restaurant. This is a great reminder that washed towels with lingering oil residue, grease, etc, can lead to a fire if the towels are not washed thoroughly, or allowed to cool off after a drying cycle. Best tip, follow manufacturer instructions on washing materials.
Good news, they are still open for business!
