It’s time for Panhandle Scanner News, I’m your host Brian Hale.
The day seemed to be filled with crashes as I-80 eastbound was closed temporarily when a single vehicle accident shut down the highway at I-80 eastbound at the Brownson exit near Sidney.
Further scanner traffic indicated the assignment of a reconstructionist and talk of getting the drone up, also the weather was a factor, so they needed to hurry within the next hour.
And two other accidents that we know of happened in the afternoon locally.
A near fatal motorcycle accident with injury on 27th Street closed Avenue G to H. Scanner traffic indicated a motorcycle accident with injury on West 27th Street near Dairy Queen. From photos we obtained, scanner traffic and witnesses at the scene, it appears it may have been a Silver Lexus state vehicle that pulled out in front of the motorcycle. Please continue to pray for this whole situation. We do have some good news from this horrific looking scene from one source familiar with the incident. The rider was alert when paramedics arrived.
Almost simultaneous like we said, there was another accident over at Jimmy John’s, two vehicle accident with minor injuries.
And just before that we had a caution on Highway 71 where scanner traffic indicated a possible female driving northbound in the southbound lane on Highway 71 near Mile Marker 58, a red Chevy pickup, which incidentally matches the red Chevy pickup that was reported in another road rage incident where the driver was suspected as drinking.
Also don’t forget our public record every Monday through Friday when available with daily jail rosters, inmate search tools, daily specials from our sponsor Main Street Market, recent arrests and arraignments and court appearances.
